So, today I had my interview at the Salish Lodge and Spa! It was great, I don't know yet if I got the position, but it sounded promising when I left! It's such a beautiful place! I hope that is where God wants me! God is good, I'm sure He'll let me know what's next in my ever changing life :)
Hope ya'll have a blessed day! It's so sunny today, I love it!

Links & Stuff
I finally figured out the link thing! Woohoo!! If I forgot you, I'm sorry, but I might not have known you have a blog, so let me know what it is! Buford, do you have one?
So, this week has been pretty full of looking for a job. I am applying everywhere! The job I really want is at the Salish Lodge, as Front Desk Agent. We'll see how that goes.
Yeah, some Spammers got to my comments, sorry if that was confusing everyone. Don't know how to make sure that doesn't happen again. Might need to make this board not public.
Hope you all have a great week!
OH!! I almost forgot! I am going to the Mariners Game today. The weather is horrible, but it should be fun!

I almost forgot! My Portland Adventure!

Last Friday started out with all of us meeting at Starbucks to get coffee before we left for Portland. I can't even begin to tell you how surreal it felt to just casually sit there and drink an Iced Coffee and talk. I felt so out of it, could be that I woke up at 5:30 in the morning :) Anyways, we all piled into the 2 vehicles and headed out. I was really glad that Tina was along, not only because I just love her, but because it meant we got to stop for a bathroom break :)
Once there in Portland, about 3 hours later, we introduced ourselves to the people in charge. Taylor, oh so graciously, introduced me as Mackenzle, his nickname for me. Yeah, I didn't spell my name wrong, it's pronounced Mc-Ken-zle. The guy there was like, excuse me?! I said "No my name is really mackenzie" and Taylor and Josh were like, "you can call her Kenzorg too!"
Anyways, we started unloading stuff. Ok, I thought I had alot of stuff when I moved?? Wow, Josh had so much! But it was fun. The Administrator/Organizer freak in me couldn't stand looking at their room for very long, so after the 3 of us made an exciting trip to WinCo, we unpacked a bunch of stuff. We met a really funny guy named Daniel, but he goes by Double D, he's their Dorm Leader who lives two rooms away. He is hilarious! Had us laughing for quite awhile. (NO, there's no interest there, just giving details)
Oh, and then there is this guy Drew, even funnier! First thing Josh says to him about me when Josh introduced us was "This is Mackenzie, if you know of any cute single guys around here, she's looking for a husband!" I am not even kidding! He totally said that!
I'm sorry this is getting so long, but it was quite the adventure!
So, jumping ahead a couple hours; Noelle and I hung out on the lawn in front of the girls dorms for awhile. We had a little girl time and talked. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. She is the other half of my brain you know ;) Sorry, inside joke!
Around 6 we all left to meet some people at the Lloyd Center (Mall), and then we got onto the MAX. The MAX is hard to describe, it looks like a monorail/subway/train/trolly all mixed into one. It goes really fast down the street & is alot of fun! The first thing all the people that we were with do when we get on it is start singing some funny Christian song, I'm talking total OLD SCHOOL Christian song. It was as if they were letting people know "WE ARE CHRISTIANS, WATCH OUT!" It was hilarious!
We were on our way to a Minor League Baseball game at the PGE Stadium. (Later I found out that PGE stands for Portland General Electric) The game was the Oregon Beavers VS. the Salt Lake Stingers. Great game, lots of fun, the Beavers lost though. The people we were there with were hilarious! After the game we got back on the MAX and then off again, only to walk around Downtown Portland to find a pizza place & a gilato place. I stayed with a few people at the pizza place and then everyone ended up there eating pizza. And just when the 4 of us (Taylor, Noelle, Josh and I) were ready to go back to the dorm, the others that hadn't been at the Gilato place wanted to go back, so of course we all suffered through sitting there while the others, who hadn't woken up at 5:30, chatted along. We finally told Drew that we needed to go, and he escorted us to where I was meeting Jacquie Martin. As we were walking Drew explained to me how Downtown Portland's grid system worked, because I hate it when I don't know where I am, and now I know the general idea of how it works. I was waiting for Taylor or Josh to make a comment about Drew and I walking & talking but they never did, surprising!
I finally met up with Jacquie & went to her totally cute apartment!
The next day, Jacquie & her roommate dropped me off at the dorms & then we all hung out with Josh's parents. After a lovely trip to Home Depot & another computer place that I can't think the name of, Taylor, Noelle & I went to the Lloyd Center to go shopping, while Josh hung out with his parents.
Finally the time arrived when I had to say goodbye to my dear friends. It was so hard! I gave Noelle & Taylor big hugs and teared up a bit and said goodbye. And then when I was walking towards Josh to say goodbye he was talking to his parents. I said to him "I'll see ya later" and he said "oh, that's right, you're leaving too, that's so weird, I forgot you were leaving." We all walked out to the car & Taylor finally did the little dance that I've been waiting for him to do for months, it was great!
Car ride home was good. I got to be Jan's sounding board, she's just the sweetest thing! As the cars around us were being dumb, I got to see another side of Wayne as well.
I finally got home around 10:15. Long 2 days! It was so much fun though. It was nice seeing a better side of Portland, rather than the crabby people I had met before.
Well, now that you've read my novel about Portland, I must go! I hope you had fun reading my adventure, feel free to ask questions for more details (Like you need anymore details after that story!)!
It's been a long week!
I never completely understood just how important it is to have Godly friends and people in your life until this last week. It's been a rough week; you could literally call me a basket case this week, happy one minute and sad the next. One minute I'm so happy to be here in Maple Valley, the next minute I'm ready to pack all my stuff up, put the cat in the car and move away. The one thing I've loved these last 6 1/2 years of being a Christian was going to Youth every Wednesday night, and even that this week felt weird and out of sorts. I found myself questioning, why am I here? (Not here as in alive here, but here as in RLC Youth, Maple Valley, WA). The more I try to get away from the idea of moving, the more I am drawn to the idea of it. Pastor said to me last Friday "You know you don't have to move & change your whole life just because everyone else is, it's ok to stay here & continue," I wish that statement felt more secure in my heart, but so far it feels more the opposite of what is true.

Off to Portland they go!
Tomorrow I am helping Josh, Taylor & Noelle move down to Portland. It's going to be an interesting time, a little surreal, but it will be fun to spend time with them & help them move.
I'm so excited for the 3 of them. God has so much for them & it will be great to see how they grow in their walks with Him.
So, I thought it was only 7 of my friends leaving me in such a small time frame (Yeah, ONLY!), but I found out Tuesday that 3 more of my friends are leaving as well! So, do the math, that's 10 people! Thankfully 2 of them are just switching churches, not leaving the state, but I still don't want them to go either! Like I said in a previous post, change change change. . . My life is all about change right now. I wonder what God has instore for me, some people were joking that I'm supposed to go down to Nevada too, but I'm not so sure yet about that. We'll see what lies ahead! Please pray for a safe trip tomorrow! Love ya'll!

One of those days
You ever have one of those days where nothing could go wrong, great day, everything is going your way......and then BAM! The enemy just tries to come in and take it all away from you! I am so tired of being him trying to rip me off! Anyone else feel the same? Sometimes I deal with what my sister calls Mind Monsters. I guess it means I need to get more into the Word! Time to get on my knees before God and seek His face!

Nerves of steel? I wish!

So, the singing thing! It wasn't a real audition, it was more like the leaders getting to find out our strong points. I did ok, I could have done better, but I got nervous. I sang in front of 3 people; singing all by myself without a piano, with a piano & then accompanied by one other person.
Being on worship team is so great, especially on youth nights. The team we have right now is just incredible. We all work together so well. It's too bad that 3 of our key people are leaving in a week to go to school. There has been so much change lately! In roughly 2 months time I'll have had 7 of my friends leave to live out of state! Can you believe it? Having Kurt & Mary leave was hard enough, now I have 5 more that are leaving! You guys are killing me! :)
I thought I would include a Summer Camp pic, to show how many people were there this year! 82 people! 83 if you add Kurt, can you see him in the pic?

Singing solo, oh wow!
So today I get to "audition" for worship team. I am SO nervous! I know I shouldn't be, but I am! I am horrified at singing alone! My friends say I need to be confident in singing, and I know I should be, but I just feel so exposed when I'm alone singing! Lord help me! I know He will be there with me, that is all the comfort I need!
Ok, it's almost time, here I go!
