Carson Kitty!

I totally forgot to add this picture to my Blog! How could I forget such a cute cat!? So everyone, this is Carson Kitty! He's my new cat! I got him back in October, but he's lived with my parents since Thanksgiving since I live with the McAlpines. There's a funny story about him! I originally thought he was a she! So, for a long time he was known as "Missy" because "she" had such an attitude and was so crazy, it just totally fit! Until one day, my mom called me and said "we have bad news...... your cat............ is.......... a boy!!!!" I was so mad! It's easy to come up with girl names! Boy names are so hard for cats! (Hello...Jerome! Who does that anyway??) So, he finally has a name! He didn't for a long time! I didn't know what to call him, then finally one day I was looking at Babynames.com and came across the name Carson and thought, Carson Kitty, it's a play on words for Carson City! Anyways, just wanted to show off my new man! :)

Portland!

I say this every year, but man, the conference was incredible! God showed up in such a major way! Life as I once knew it is completely different for me now! God is so good, faithful, strong, awesome, incredible............gosh, I could go on and on! He's really challenged my thinking and the way I perceive myself! I'm so thankful that I went down there, the speakers and Pastor's were so on! Words can't even begin to describe how awesome it was! I'm finally starting to understand part of the vision God has for my life and getting it in my head that it's a process and it's not my timing but His!

Here's a word that Jessica emailed the worship team today and it encouraged me so much! She sent this after I wrote what I did in the top part of this blog message, God is so good!! I wanted to share it because it's awesome! So, here ya go:

"In the same way I was with Moses, I'll be with you. I won't give up on you. I won't leave you. Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land. It's the 7th of 9 Days!

Well, today was my 7th of 9 days straight at work. Man!! It's been a long week! Tomorrow morning I work at 7am! Yup, that means I'm up by 5, woohoo! Not so thrilled, and as most of you know, I'm not such a morning person! But, I got myself into this mess, because I asked for Friday and Saturday off, and the only way that they could do it was with this crazy schedule!
On a happier work note, so far this month I've booked $92,000! Can you stinkin' believe it!! I wish it was commissionable! Like 10% even!
Ok, now that I've stopped drooling over the money that I wish I was making! The reason I asked for Friday and Saturday is so that I can go down to Portland on Thursday night for the Conference at City Bible Church! Yup, you guessed it! I get to visit Taylor, Josh and Noelle!! Woohoo, pretty excited about that! (Shut up Justin!)
I've been checking airline tickets for Reno so that I can go visit my long lost friends, but the price isn't right just yet. I added a pic of them.

Well, make sure you watch the Seahawks win the Superbowl on February 5th!

As you can see in my links, I have a MySpace now. Yes, I am now a sell-out. I am on myspace because I am able to keep in touch with alot of old friends. It's quite cool :) Everyone's doin' it! Make sure you check it out!

4 months at the Salish! Can you believe it?

I have been at the Salish now for 4 months! Can you believe it? 2 out of those 4 months I have brought in the highest revenue (should have been 3 though!)! Can you believe it? Work is awesome! I am having a lot of fun there!

So, I just got over having Strep throat two times in a row and then the stomach flu over New Year's! Horrible! I need some serious prayer covering ya'll! I am going to start taking vitamins too! I think that will help, plus I'm not getting any younger, and it's good to do that when you're young.

I missed seeing Karon and Justin when they were here :( I was at work when they were at the Christmas Eve service. I was so looking forward to it too! I think I'm going to see if I can get some time in April to go down to Nevada. Nora was saying that there's someone they want me to meet down there! ;)

Well, not too much else going on here. I love living with the McAlpines! They are an awesome family and I'm learning alot about positive family inneraction, not something I had too much of growing up. Plus we've had some fun late night talks about boys and dating!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Today is my 26th Birthday! Woohoo!! I stayed overnight at the Salish last night for free!! Woohoo!! my mom and sister stayed too, and a few friends joined us for pizza and cake! It was great! I'm off work now, so I'm going home!

Just blah!

Not too much going on here. Just getting really excited about moving. I can't wait to start saving money! It will be so great to live with a family again. I didn't realize how much I miss my family until I visited them a few weeks ago. You know when you're younger and you just can't wait to move out and live on your own, well, now that I've been there and done that, I'm just happy to be going back to a family environment again. Don't get me wrong, living by myself has been great, but at the same time there's no one to come home to, no one to share my day with, ya know!?

Church was great today. Worship was really good. I walked to the back during worship today and saw teenagers just standing there, not really worshipping, kind of zoning out. I miss the days where they were so into worship. The days when Kurt led and the kids just adored him! Or the days when Josh or Noelle would lead and there was so much energy in the room. Don't get me wrong, there's definintely energy when the other leaders lead, and it's a great time of worship, but there just seems to be something missing lately. Maybe it's just me and I need to change my frame of mind. Jessica is an incredible worship leader

I'm at work right now, and man! It's just dead here! I've been fighting off this cold for about 3 weeks now, and it was finally going away, but today I woke up with a sore throat! COME ON! I'm so tired of feeling yucky like this! Ok, no more complaining! I'm healed in Jesus' name!!

Work is so slow tonight! I just can't believe it! Getting so sleepy that I'm starting to slurr the words, which isn't good! Cause I'm still taking reservations!

Ok, well, I'm off in 30mins and I can't wait to go to bed, longest day ever! (Ok, not really!)

I'm moving!

Yup, you heard it here first! I'm moving out of my cute little house, into the McAlpine's lovely house! I just want to be able to save some money for once, and so they have agreed to let me rent a room from them. I am so excited! I know it means moving ALL of my stuff again, but it will be so worth it! I will totally miss my house, but it's going to be great living there and paying less rent than I have been for awhile. It'll be a huge blessing for me and the McAlpine's.
Please pray that the transition is smooth! When I move my new kitten will go live with my parents for awhile.
So, my dad just had a shoulder replacement surgery. It went so well for him. It brought him closer to God, because the other day he accidently took two doses of meds within a half hour or hour, and he said he finally understood that God wanted him to have a better life and that he wants to live for Him completely instead of part way. I'm so proud of my dad! He's come so far. The last time I was over there he and I had a great conversation about his relationship with God. I hadn't realized the things he'd been through w/God when he was younger. Or the things he had said against Him. My dad has so much knowledge! I am so excited to see what God has for him.

Slacker!

I realized I haven't written in this for awhile! What a slacker I am!
Speaking of slacker, today I had the hardest time getting out of bed for church. I have been fighting this cold since last Saturday! Evil cold!! I missed church last week because of it and the week before I missed it because of work. The main reason it was hard to get out of bed though is because of this work schedule I'm on, starting at 2:30 and getting off at 11:00 means I don't usually go to bed until 1 or 2 am and getting up at 9 or 10am. It was weird to be back there at church this week. It was great to see everyone!
I actually got to hang out with friends last night for like the 3rd time since I started this job a month ago. It's crazy working nights, I love it though! We watched The Rundown. I love that movie! The Rock is hilarious in that movie. After they left I watched Crash. Wow, talk about a heavy movie! You should watch it. It's a great thinking movie!
I have next Sunday off, I'm so glad! OH, and I'M GETTING A KITTEN!! Woohoo! Actually, I haven't completely decided yet, but if the kitten is a girl I'll name her Hannah :)

Is it really Monday!

So, with this lovely work schedule of mine I've been forgetting what day it is. Luckily, it hasn't affected me in anyway. I love the hours though. Today is # 5 of 6 days, so I only have one more day. To top that off, I am getting a Heated River Rock Massage tomorrow! I am really excited to try out our facilities! Then I'll have Wednesday off and probably work another 6 days before my next day or two off. Oh, did I mention that I'm getting a full day of overtime this week as well?!?! I'm very happy about that!

I can't wait until the leaves fall this year. It's such a beautiful sight when they are flying through the sky. . . . . that is until one day you're driving along the way, minding your own business, when one of them flies right in front of your windshield blocking your view. Of course, you've run out of windshield wiper fluid and when you go to wipe it away, it leaves dry streaks along the windshield. It's a beautiful thing! :)

I need to get more pics on this thing! I'll try and do that soon.

Friday, woohoo!!

So, today was my 2nd day of a 6 day shift. I am so excited for this coming week! I will have overtime, woohoo!! I am getting along so great with co-workers, and I really like what I do. Today I was on my own taking reservations. Of course, there were people around me to ask questions when I had them, but for the most part I did it on my own. Thank you Jesus! I couldn't have done it without Him! :)

So, my parents found a church by where they live. It's part of the Assemblies of God church, and it's Spirit Filled. I haven't gone to it yet, but my dad really likes it, which means it must be great, he's even pickier than I am, if that's possible! (Must be where I get it from). Just found out that on October 17th he's going to be having extensive Shoulder Surgery, so if you all could pray for him, that would be great. And a prayer for my mom would be good as well, since she's going to be under alot of stress :)

Well, I'm off, time to relax for the evening! Good night ya'll!

Hope all is going well for all of you! Did you watch on Tuesday The Biggest Loser 2 as Suzy kicked some butt? 20 pounds!! That's awesome! I'm so proud of her! It was weird to watch someone I know on TV.

Noelle, Taylor & Josh visited last weekend. They came to church on Sunday. It was great to see them. I hope the gang in Nevada will visit soon as well :)

Life & Such

Life as I know it:
Well, right now I am busy training at my new job. I'm meeting lots of new & interesting people, people from all walks of life. Yesterday, as I sat in the breakroom eating my lunch I got to hear a few people discussing Astrology and the realization hit me that this world is so lost when they don't know Jesus! They were talking about their individual signs and how it directly related to who they were as people and how "right on" the description of who they were in those signs. I wanted to turn around and tell them, "don't let some stupid 'Astrology' chart define who you are as a person. Don't let something like that affect your 'moods' & 'attitudes' " It was horrible! I am so thankful that they soon moved on from that topic of conversation. It helped me to realize, once again, how far removed I am from this world through Jesus! I am so thankful!
Enough about that..... So, one thing that I forgot to report on to all of you is that my parents got Baptized at our Church picnic this year! It was awesome!! I am so proud of them! I am also really proud of my sister, Renea! I visited her church 2 Fridays ago and it was awesome! It's called Calvery Community Church in Sumner. A little bit of a drive, but it was so worth it! If I don't work on Friday evenings I'm going to go again.
What else can I talk about?
To answer a question that I'm sure at least 75% of you would ask me if in person.........NO, I'm not dating anyone :) No prospects either, that I know of. :) God's timing, right? Right! So, there's your answer :P
